Frost protection for the water system, toilet, holding-tank pump, shower pump, electric and manual bilge pumps, and engine. The holding tank must be emptied beforehand!

Labour and 5 litres of antifreeze concentrate are included. Additional materials and any travel costs are charged separately and specified in the quotation.

Winterisation tailored to your boat

The complete pressurised water system, engines, generator, air conditioning, bilge pumps, shower pumps and toilet. The scope is tailored to your boat and agreed in the quotation.

We do not use antifreeze in the freshwater system.

Completed work is always documented

After winterisation, you receive a report with photographs. Every job is documented in a final report sent by email.

Hourly rate: NOK 1,250 including VAT

Applies to work without an agreed fixed price. Materials and any travel costs are agreed in the quotation.

Away this winter, or would you rather spend your time on other things? Let us check on your boat. We keep you updated after every scheduled visit.

A one-month minimum, then no further commitment.

You receive at least one dated photograph and a brief update after every visit. Any issues and inspection limitations are documented.

What we check

Shore power: visible condition of the cable and connector. Power status is checked where a suitable indicator is available.
Covers and canopies: tears, loose fastenings, chafe, snow loads and pooling water.
Exterior condition: new visible damage, loose equipment and blocked ventilation openings.

Mooring lines, fenders, clearance from the pontoon, the boat’s position in the water and visible ice around it.

Boats ashore

Visible movement of the cradle or supports, leaning and ground settlement.

Visit arrangements and optional extras

The service runs from 15 October 2026 to 15 April 2027, with a one-month minimum and no further commitment after that. Choose your start and end dates within the season. Enter them in the form and we will confirm the visit schedule and price for your period in the quotation.

The standard package covers visual checks of accessible areas from the pontoon or ground. The checks are adapted to whether your boat is afloat or ashore.

Onboard inspections, adjustments, snow removal, repairs and extra visits are agreed and priced separately. Additional work and visits are not included in the monthly price.

Visits take place when access and conditions allow them to be carried out safely. Slippery pontoons, ice or difficult access may limit the checks. Any limitations are documented in the update and the customer is notified.

Already have a power-loss alarm? Our visits also provide a physical check of covers, moorings and the boat’s visible condition.

Scope and responsibility

The service consists of periodic checks at agreed times, with a photograph and brief update after each visit. It is not continuous monitoring and does not guarantee protection against sinking, water ingress, frost damage, theft, storm damage or other loss, including between visits.

Checks are limited to the agreed inspection points and accessible areas that can be examined safely. Any limitations due to weather, ice or slippery access are documented and the customer is notified.

The owner remains responsible for the boat’s maintenance, winter preparation and insurance. The service does not replace boat insurance. This does not limit the service provider’s liability for its own errors or negligence under applicable law.

Sail handling · Autumn and spring

Off in autumn.
Back on in spring.

We come to your boat.
In autumn, we remove the sails, pack them and store them on board.
In spring, we return to refit the sails.

The price for autumn and spring work is agreed in advance, based on your boat and sails.

Invoiced in two stages: Autumn work is invoiced once the sails have been removed and packed or delivered. Spring work is invoiced once the sails have been refitted.

Delivery to a sailmaker or your home can be arranged as an extra. Any sailmaker’s work is agreed separately.

About us

Kleven Maritime draws on marine industry experience dating back to 2007, from technical support for boatbuilders to practical work aboard sailing yachts and motorboats.

With a background at Cummins and Brunswick Marine, alongside work with ZF Marine, our experience covers marine engines, transmissions, control systems and technical installations. It also includes many years of aftersales responsibility for two well-known sailing yacht brands, product development, dealer training and marina operations.

Years of sailing, international boat deliveries and previous work as a mate in the Caribbean give us a practical understanding of the boat as a whole. Qualifications include a Norwegian leisure skipper certificate, a T8 forklift certificate and technical training on pod propulsion systems.

We bring this experience to condition surveys, advice and marine services, with thorough assessments, clear guidance and personal follow-up. Our industry knowledge and long-standing network of trusted partners put us in a strong position to help when the unexpected happens.
